“Self-care is never a selfish act - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch.”

- Parker Palmer

YOUR THERAPIST

Karen Murray

I am an accredited psychotherapist, counsellor, and clinical supervisor with many years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.

I specialise in tinnitus therapy, having played a key role in setting up and leading psychotherapist services at Neuromod Devices and Ótologie Ireland, where I also served as Senior Psychotherapist.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from Trinity College Dublin and offer an integrative therapeutic approach that incorporates CBT techniques to meet each clients unique needs. My background includes over six years working with Pieta in Dublin, providing vital therapy to individuals experiencing suicidal distress, self-harm, and bereavement by suicide.

Most recently, I have worked as a psychotherapist with the National Counselling Service (NCS) and Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC) with the Health Service Executive (HSE), offering support to adults facing a variety of challenges. I am passionate about creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences and build resilience.

Services

Psychotherapy/CBT

Psychotherapy and CBT are talk therapies that help people explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours with a professional—supporting personal growth, resilience, and positive change.

Tinnitus therapy combines evidence-based approaches—such as CBT, mindfulness, and ACT—to help reduce the impact of tinnitus, address related challenges like anxiety and insomnia, and promote overall well-being.

Tinnitus Therapy
Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is a collaborative process that supports psychotherapists in developing their skills, reflecting on their practice, and ensuring ethical, effective client care.
